Modern Foreign Language (MFL)

At Stanton School, pupils are taught French by a language expert in mixed ability classes across the school.

Our pupils are taught to use vocabulary in increasingly complicated sentences, both verbally and in writing, on subjects such as greetings, directions, colours, animals, food and drink and items used in school.

Games and activities are used in a way to bring French alive and to make it appealing and exciting. Pupils are also taught about where France is in Europe and the world, where French is spoken, the way of life in France, cultural traditions and festivals.
